Background to Percy
How Percy came to be
Percy started out as a made up bed-time story for Conor, he enjoyed the story telling and asked for more Percy stories. So Percy became a feature for a series of storylines, with adventures shared with Conor.
Of course we had to have a different and new story each time. As the story list grew, I decided to write them down to encourage Conor to read, also by having written them, he could read them when I wasn't there to tell him his bed-time story. He took the stories to school and his friends became interested in them. Then I included his friends in the storylines, using their names for characters. It wasn't long before his whole class became involved. Conor's literacy level improved.
The book "Percy and Conor" includes some, but by no means all, of these story lines that Conor liked. Of the other story lines such as "Dragon Hall", "Dark dragons" and "Decodon Games", I do not expect to publish, unless "Conor and Percy" are well received.
I have enjoyed the story telling and hope you, dear reader, get pleasure from these stories.
